Our mission

Our mission is to improve and promote the health of African migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers in Graz. In pursuance of this goal, we engage in an intensive and concerted enlightenment campaign with a view to raising awareness of general health issues, in particular HIV/AIDS.

Sub-Saharan Africans in Graz who include migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers account for a significant number of total migrant population. Religious beliefs, social and cultural differences as well as language problems are often barriers responsible for their decreased access to health care services. They are unable as a result, to take full advantage of the available healthcare services.

Breaking down these barriers is a core aspect of our mission.
